Mother's Day Weekend
Happy belated mother's day to all the mamas out there. It is so nice to have a holiday that is based around honoring mothers (and fathers) with love. I was given so many gifts in the form of beautiful moments.
The little man has been exploring the "woods" next to our house. He loves his walking seesaw "up,up, up, down, down, down."
We went to the Waldorf May Faire, not on May 1st, but a great celebration. The little man and the big guy made a boat out of Pushky reeds (cow parsnip) and sailed it down the river.
I just love the intrigue that every new things brings a 3.5 year old. I so want to build this fort.
The day could not have been better.

Happy May Day
What a beautiful first day of May here in Alaska. It could not have been better.
The local public radio had a May Day celebration at the playground. The day was sunny and beautiful, and for some reason the photo is dark (reason being photographer).
We played for hours at the playground.
It is so fun to see our son play differently this year. He did some parallel play with a friend's daughter and did not run away once which was a big theme last year.
I think I might actually get to sit down and watch my son play with other children this summer. I am so looking forward to it.
